Some advice on how to walk in the forest
in accordance with the law

  • Pedestrians and hikers must stay on the paths and tracks. Walking through the forest is forbidden as it is detrimental to the peace and quiet of the forest.
  • Firebreaks are grassy areas intended for forest wildlife. They are not paths or trails. Firebreaks are simply forbidden to enter!
  • Bicycles and horse riders are allowed on forest roads. Trails, which allow only one hiker to pass at a time, cannot be used by bicycles or horse riders. As with pedestrians, “through-tracking” is prohibited for bicycles and horse riders.
  • The use of motor vehicles in the forest is prohibited. This also applies to motorbikes and quad bikes.
